Law Enforcement agencies contact
Under the Telecommunications Act, iinet is obligated to comply with law enforcement agencies. iinet's compliance is required to assist the law enforcement agency in their investigation into alleged crime and misconduct or any other unlawful activity.
A request for iinet's compliance with a Law enforcement agency is done so under a subsection of Section 282 or Section 287 of the Telecommunications Act and signed by a duly authorized agent. The request should be directed to…

Responses to requests for compliance under Sec 282 will be made within 48 hours. Responses to requests under Sec 287 will be made within 3 hours. Where necessary, a Law Enforcement agency may check the status of a request by contacting the compliance officer.
