what equipment do i need?
There are two types of hardware that can be used to get iiTalk up and running:
- a VOIP adapter (ATA); and
- a VOIP enabled broadband modem/router
VOIP adapter (ATA)
Plug and save technology
- connect to your broadband modem/router and plug in any touch tone telephone.
A VOIP adapter (ATA) is useful if you currently have a broadband modem/router that isn't "VOIP enabled" and you want to use iiTalk. iiNet VOIP adapters come pre-configured with all your account settings.

- high-speed, "VOIP ready" broadband modem/routers. Plug in a phone and start calling.
This option is useful if your modem is reasonably old or you have no modem at present and you want to use iiTalk. Our range of Belkin modem/routers include wireless options all are VOIP ready. See our hardware page for more details on modem choice.
